At the centre of the composition, a solitary figure stands before an ornate frame containing a vast cosmic vision, suspended between wonder and unease. Around them, fractured scenes of history, mortality, fire, and exploration unfold — a skull carved into stone, figures navigating precarious terrain, and symbols of collapse and rebirth. The piece captures a threshold where knowledge becomes overwhelming, and awareness carries both beauty and risk.

Hand-cut imagery is carefully layered to create depth and tension, encouraging slow looking as details emerge gradually across the scene. Familiar symbols are recontextualised into a dreamlike narrative that shifts between awe, reflection, and quiet dread.
