About the Artist

Meet Charlotte

I’m Charlotte Wellings, a Manchester-based artist working under the name Realm of Pixels. I make hand-cut collage, creating original artworks that combine found imagery, photography, and contemporary elements.

My work is rooted in storytelling, with scenes that sit somewhere between the familiar and the surreal. Alongside making and exhibiting work, I also run collage workshops, offer bespoke commissions, and work as a photographer.

My Story

My background is in photography, including photographing musicians for publications and venues. Alongside this, I’ve worked across graphic design, textiles, sculpture, life drawing, pottery and, at one point, making laser-cut drum parts for a drum kit manufacturer.

Moving between different materials shaped how I approach images, and collage grew naturally from this way of working. It continues to sit at the centre of my practice.
